About Tom Fierro
Tom received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from St. John Fisher College, in Rochester, New York in 1977. In 1992 Tom was accepted as a Member of the Appraisal Institute and was awarded the MAI designation. In 2004, Tom became licensed as a real estate broker in New York State. Tom has had over 5 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, where he was a Realty Specialist responsible for Federal oversight of a diverse range of state right-of-way projects related to appraisal, acquisition, relocation, and property management functions.
During his career, Tom has appraised a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential properties. Most of his appraisal work has been concerned with matters relating to property tax assessment grievances and properties being acquired under eminent domain and condemnation by State and local municipalities. Tom has also been responsible for management and leasing functions and has assisted in the acquisition of more than $10 million in real estate in the past two years.
As a Member of the Appraisal Institute (Designation #9699) and a New York State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (Certificate #46-67-6742), Thomas Fierro has been continuously and actively engaged in the appraisal of real estate for the past 20 years.
